Compassion-focused counselling and resources for healing, restoration, growth, and renewed hope.

Candy Salik, MACP, CCC

I am a Certified Canadian Counsellor providing compassionate, counselling for individuals and relationships navigating trauma, emotional distress, shame, life transitions, relational difficulties, addictions, and seasons of uncertainty.

My approach integrates evidence-informed counselling with compassion, practical understanding, and faith-informed when desired. Therapy is shaped around the individual rather than forcing the individual into a single method or framework.

Restored Roots Counselling also grew from a desire to create thoughtful books, videos, reflections, and educational resources that support healing and growth beyond the counselling room.

Why Restored Roots?

Restored Roots Counselling is built on the belief that healing often begins with compassion before it begins with answers.

When Elijah was exhausted, overwhelmed, and ready to give up, God did not begin with correction. He provided rest, nourishment, and gentle care before inviting Elijah to continue the journey.

That pattern continues to shape both the counselling practice and the resources created through Restored Roots. The goal is not simply to provide information, but to create space for understanding, healing, growth, and meaningful change.

The broom tree represents shelter and rest. The bread and water remind us of God's faithful provision. Mount Carmel reminds us that even after significant victories, seasons of weariness may still come—but they do not have the final word.

May you find rest
for your soul.

“Come to me, all who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28

Find your footing.
