Counselling in Lethbridge and Online

Counselling Services for Healing, Relationships and Meaningful Change

Restored Roots Counselling offers compassionate, evidence-informed support shaped around your history, strengths, needs and goals. Sessions are available from Lethbridge and virtually for eligible clients in the Canadian regions served by the practice.

Trauma and Emotional Recovery

Trauma-informed counselling begins with safety and understanding rather than pressure. Work may include emotional regulation, shame, survival responses, boundaries, agency and the patterns that developed around difficult experiences.

  • Trauma and adverse experiences
  • Emotional overwhelm and nervous-system activation
  • Shame, self-criticism and loss of trust
  • Rebuilding choice, stability and connection

Addictions and Recovery

Addiction counselling is offered without moralizing or reducing a person to a behaviour. The work can explore what the pattern does for you, what maintains it and what supports realistic, sustainable recovery.

  • Substance use and behavioural patterns
  • Relapse vulnerability and triggers
  • Relationships, shame and recovery identity
  • Practical planning for lasting change

Relationships and Communication

Relationship counselling can help people understand recurring patterns, communicate more clearly and respond to conflict with greater awareness. Individual relationship work and joint sessions may be considered according to fit and circumstances.

  • Conflict and emotional disconnection
  • Attachment and trust
  • Boundaries and assertiveness
  • Reflective listening and relational repair

Faith-Integrated Counselling

Christian faith can be included when it is meaningful to you. Faith integration is collaborative and never imposed; questions, doubt, grief, spiritual injury, meaning and hope can all be explored with respect.

  • Christian counselling when requested
  • Meaning, identity and discernment
  • Spiritual struggle or injury
  • Grace, compassion and restoration

Anxiety, Shame and Life Transitions

Counselling can support people who feel stuck in worry, self-criticism, emotional exhaustion or uncertainty. The goal is not to force a quick answer, but to understand what is happening and develop a workable way forward.

  • Anxiety and emotional distress
  • Grief, loss and change
  • Work, family and identity transitions
  • Compassion-focused personal growth

Learning and Therapeutic Resources

Restored Roots also develops educational resources that extend reflection and skill-building beyond appointments. These include communication practice, workbooks, videos, music and free materials.

  • Learn to Listen. Learn to Reflect.
  • Parent-child validation practice
  • Resources for counsellors in training
  • Virtual groups and educational content
